About this project
This resource was created and is maintained by Bob Chase from Mindful in the City. It is sponsored by St Benet’s Chaplaincy at QMUL.
Bob is certified as a “Practising (mindfulness) Teacher” in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) by Bangor University & The Mindfulness Network. A qualification recognised by the British Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches
Since 1999 Bob has been sponsored by St Benet’s Chaplaincy to offer Mindfulness courses and activities to staff and students at Queen Mary University London. Each Spring and Autumn Semester he runs courses, drop-in sessions, taster sessions and gives talks.
This app and website is recommended by QMUL Student Support Services. Some courses are now co-taught with Vuong Nhnh Ngo (Student Wellbeing Advisor)
Stress less Study with Mindfulness
These resources were originally created and used in a 4 week Stress Less Study with Mindfulness Course. Feedback led us to make the resources available in an “on demand” mode so that access could be widened to many more students.
Evaluation and Research Project
Feedback from users is encouraged and used to improve the resources. FEEDBACK FORM
There is currently a small research project, being conducted by the School of Biological and Behavioural Sciences at QMUL, aimed at evaluating the utility and impacts of this website/app and the resources. This project is led by Dr Alena Galilee, FHEA, Lecturer in Psychology.
